Field Geophysicist

About the role

The Field Geophysicist will operate and maintain a range of geophysical and geotechnical equipment to support site investigation projects across diverse environments. You will work closely with senior geophysicists and project managers to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Operate equipment for 2D surface seismic, electrical resistivity tomography, borehole seismic, nuclear magnetic resonance, magnetometry, multi‑beam bathymetry, sub‑bottom profiling, GNSS, CPTu and other in‑situ testing tools.
• Assist equipment operators, handle logistics for mobilization/demobilization in hard‑to‑access sites, and perform routine maintenance.
• Collect, log, and submit field data, notes, and photos daily to senior staff or clients.
• Support project coordination tasks and act as an assistant field operator when required.
• Adhere to ConeTec’s health and safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication abilities.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Greater Vancouver area.
