About the role
We are looking for a skilled Drywall Installer to join our construction team in Calgary. The role involves preparing and finishing interior walls and ceilings on various job sites, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Apply successive coats of joint compound, sand seams and joints, and tape over joints using a taping machine.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to create acoustical and coffered ceilings.
- Measure, cut, fit and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs and joists.
- Fill nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound and smooth excess material.
Required profile
- Physically demanding work; ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lb.
- Excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability and teamwork.
Required skills
- Drywall installation.
- Metal ceiling grid installation.
- Operation of a taping machine.
