Driller, Helper & Trainee Positions – Field Operations

About the role

Join ConeTec and Mud Bay Drilling as a Driller, Helper, or Drilling Trainee to operate specialized equipment that collects data and samples for engineers, scientists, and geologists. You will work across mining, oil & gas, urban, and infrastructure projects throughout the USA and Canada, often spending 10‑12 hour days on 14‑21 day field rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate drilling rigs, sampling systems, and geophysical instruments following company procedures.
• Become certified to operate a wide range of drilling equipment within the fleet.
• Assist engineers and technicians on site, including mobilization and demobilization of equipment in remote locations.
• Handle heavy drill steel and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Follow and promote a strong safety culture, preparing SOPs and reporting incidents promptly.
• Carry, lift, and organize materials and consumables, including water transport.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in both the USA and Canada (dual citizen, green‑card holder, Indigenous status, etc.).
• Physically capable of long‑duration field assignments and heavy‑equipment handling.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work independently on remote sites.
