Dock Supervisor

About the role

The Dock Supervisor will lead the high‑volume dock at TST‑CF Express’s Mississauga terminal, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role blends dispatch, routing and dock leadership to ensure efficient freight flow and on‑time departures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage the dock team to meet operational KPIs.
• Use dispatcher experience to optimise city routes, driver assignments and load planning.
• Ensure outbound loads depart on time, fully loaded and in compliance with network schedules.
• Monitor dock processes, equipment and staffing levels to align with volume and budget.
• Provide accurate daily reporting on KPIs, routing efficiency, delays and dock activities.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors and managers on continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑7 years combined experience in dispatching, routing and dock supervision.
• Strong understanding of LTL freight operations and the Greater Toronto Area.
• High energy, leadership mindset and willingness to learn.
• Post‑secondary education or equivalent preferred.
• Long‑term commitment (minimum 3 years in previous roles).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Routemax or similar routing/dispatch systems (e.g., TMW, Isaac).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to troubleshoot routing and dock workflow issues.
