Designer & Product Developer

About the role

Globalla Inc. seeks a creative Designer & Product Developer to lead the full‑cycle design of socks, hosiery, cold‑weather knits, scarves, hair accessories and other fashion items. The ideal candidate blends trend awareness with strong technical execution to keep our collections fresh and market‑relevant.

Key responsibilities

• Research market trends, fabrics, and techniques and present findings to design and sales teams.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and segment products for multiple market segments.
• Generate innovative product concepts and oversee their development.
• Create and communicate artwork, lab dips, and technical files to factories.
• Produce designs, tech packs, and style sheets using CAD tools.
• Review samples, provide timely feedback to factories, and track sample progress.
• Meet all project deadlines as defined in the company calendar.
• Improve communication and processes between design, development, and manufacturing teams.
• Deliver customer‑facing presentations alongside the sales team when required.
• Prepare product costings and support factory price negotiations in Excel.

Required profile

• Minimum college degree or certificate in Fashion Design recognized in Quebec.
• At least 5 years of relevant design experience.
• Strong knowledge of accessories, yarns, fabrics, colour theory, graphics and trims.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to prioritize multiple projects.
• Effective collaboration and clear communication skills.
