Damage Tolerance Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Damage Tolerance Structural Engineer to lead analyses on primary structural elements of aircraft. You will work closely with design, maintenance, and supplier teams to ensure structural integrity throughout the aircraft lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct damage tolerance analyses on primary structural elements (PSE).
• Provide recommendations on aircraft structural design and repair concepts.
• Develop fatigue spectra for various load cases.
• Validate analysis results against experimental data.
• Support the creation of maintenance manuals in collaboration with technical publications and maintenance engineering groups.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with program methodology and technical requirements.
• Review supplier reports and analyses.
• Prepare certification reports for regulatory approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in stress analysis of metal aircraft structures, with a focus on fatigue and damage tolerance design.
• Experience in aircraft development programs or in‑service support, including certification activities (preferred).
• Knowledge of non‑destructive testing (NDT) techniques (a plus).
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
