Corporate Controller – Calgary

About the role

Vault Group is seeking a motivated accounting professional to join its Calgary office as a Corporate Controller. This role supports operational growth and financial excellence across a dynamic group of companies in mining, renewable energy, infrastructure and more.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple entities.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial analysis.
• Assist with project accounting, WIP reporting and job‑cost analysis.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting procedures and reporting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax filings and regulatory requirements.
• Support leadership with operational and strategic financial insights.
• Mentor and support accounting team members as the department grows.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in construction, industrial services, project accounting or multi‑entity environments (strong asset).
• Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with job costing, percentage‑of‑completion accounting and project‑based financials (asset).
• Advanced Excel skills and solid ERP/accounting system experience.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team.
• Adaptable, resourceful and comfortable in a growing company environment.
