Cook – Ethnic Foods (Italian Cuisine)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cook specialized in ethnic foods, with a focus on Italian cuisine, to join our team at Elio Pizzeria in Montréal. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan menus and accurately estimate ingredient quantities for each service.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and specialty ethnic foods following recipe standards.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes while maintaining a clean and organized work station.

Required profile

• Hold an other trades certificate or diploma related to culinary arts.
• Minimum five years of professional cooking experience, preferably with ethnic or Italian cuisine.
• Pass a medical examination and obtain basic security clearance before starting.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Show initiative, organization, and reliability in daily kitchen operations.
