About the role

CIBC is seeking a Procurement Consultant to support its Technology and Security Procurement team. The role focuses on managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for indirect spend categories, particularly supplier‑hosted software and IT services, while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sourcing support, advise on procurement approaches, and assist with supplier selection processes such as RFPs.
• Develop procurement recommendations based on business requirements and contract analysis.
• Draft, negotiate, execute, and implement low to moderate complexity contracts, ensuring CIBC risk mitigation and policy adherence.
• Collaborate with internal clients to clarify ambiguous requests and deliver tailored procurement solutions.
• Maintain healthy relationships with business partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support supplier risk management and ensure governance compliance for all contracts.

• Understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements in a banking environment.
