Construction Supervisor

About the role

Denison is looking for a Construction Supervisor to join the Wheeler River project team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will oversee daily contractor activities on a remote mining site, ensuring safety, cost‑efficiency, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day construction of mining infrastructure and camp facilities.
• Supervise contractors, tradespeople, and equipment operators, monitoring performance and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Review construction plans, resolve issues, and adjust resources to meet milestones.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and suppliers for timely material delivery.
• Conduct inspections, track progress, and report on status and risks.
• Support workforce logistics, including camp readiness, utilities, and site services.
• Provide construction planning expertise and mentor technical personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical diploma, or Red Seal trades certification.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive construction leadership experience.
• Proven success supervising large industrial or mining construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, contracts, and industry standards.
• Project management experience with scope, budget, schedule control, and reporting.
• Familiarity with the full project lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
• Experience in remote‑location construction is an asset.
