Construction Manager – North America Fulfillment Centers

About the role

Amazon is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the design, build, and renovation of its North American fulfillment centers. This remote position requires frequent travel across the United States to oversee large‑scale construction projects and ensure they meet Amazon’s operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end construction of new fulfillment centers and renovations of existing facilities, including projects exceeding $100M.
• Coordinate with developers, general contractors, and internal Amazon teams to align engineering, design, and operational requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and analyses to define design needs, equipment, and services.
• Conduct facility surveys, audit procedures, and recommend solutions for infrastructure, safety, and security issues.
• Negotiate contracts and contract changes, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and appropriate service level agreements.
• Track project performance using KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
• Support transition of base‑building management and oversee turnover documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large construction projects and renovations in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently across a regional area with minimal supervision.
• Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience assessing project performance through defined KPIs.
