Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time Buyer to join its Saint‑Bruno team. In this position you will apply your procurement expertise to support rail and mobility projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with Quality, Cost, Delivery and Technical (QCDT) objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor daily performance and resolve initial issues.
• Consolidate commodity inputs, contribute to strategy development and represent commodities in project discussions.
• Prepare Requests for Quotation, lead negotiations and track legal and QCDT evolution of projects.
• Prepare business awards, handle change requests and work with the Project Sourcing Manager on project committees.

Required profile

• Degree in business, engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in procurement or related industry.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English; additional language is a plus.
