Business Strategist – Product Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Strategist to join its Business & Market Insights team. The role focuses on building data‑driven products that leverage Mastercard’s own data assets and third‑party sources, supporting strategic decisions across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Global Product Manager in defining product strategy, from feature design to go‑to‑market, and maintain an accurate product backlog.
• Develop comprehensive business cases tailored to various geographies and use cases.
• Act as a sparring partner for cross‑functional teams (Tech, UX/UI, Legal, Privacy, Business Development) during solution development.
• Create and manage internal communication channels, including newsletters and email updates, to keep stakeholders engaged.
• Provide frequent executive reports with clear insights and progress updates.
• Assist with go‑to‑market initiatives, preparing documents, pitch presentations, and communication strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience with API‑based or data products, especially real‑time decisioning and authorization flows.
• Comfort operating within complex, global matrix organizations.
• Strong focus on data quality and security‑by‑design principles.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to craft concise executive narratives.
