Business Development Representative – Homebuilder

About the role
Schneider Electric Canada is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive growth within the Homebuilder segment across Eastern Canada. Based in the Montreal area, you will work closely with the Business Development Director and cross‑functional teams to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage new Homebuilder prospects through networking, industry events, cold calling and advertising.
- Promote Schneider Electric’s Connected Living portfolio—including panels, breakers, wiring devices, energy monitoring systems, surge protection and EV charger solutions—to the Homebuilding market.
- Conduct market research, trend analysis and competitive intelligence to uncover growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute a regional business development plan covering pricing, forecasting, product roadmap, campaigns and channel programs aligned with national strategy.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers, partners and industry leaders.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales and technology groups to translate strategy into actionable initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the Homebuilding industry.
- Existing network in the Homebuilding sector is a plus.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 50 % nationally and occasionally internationally.
- Fluent in English and French.
Required skills
- Knowledge of panels, breakers and wiring devices.
- Experience with energy monitoring systems and surge protection.
- Familiarity with EV charger solutions.
