Business Analyst – Finance & Real Estate (6‑month contract)

About the role

Our client, a leader in real estate and finance, is seeking a Business Analyst for a six‑month hybrid assignment in Vancouver. The role will support finance‑focused system implementation, commission tracking and compliance across North America and APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements for financial systems and commission‑based platforms.
• Analyse and communicate processes for deal tracking, invoicing, compliance and commission calculations.
• Work with Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) applications to optimise property and client data management.
• Ensure SOC compliance and prepare related shareholder reports.
• Participate in data migration and system configuration for finance and real‑estate platforms.
• Collaborate with teams in Sydney and other APAC locations, adjusting working hours as needed.
• Provide recommendations to improve system performance for revenue tracking and invoicing.
• Support testing and validation of new features and platform changes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably on finance or real‑estate projects.
• Strong business acumen in accounting/finance and deep knowledge of commission‑based systems.
• Experience with COTS applications related to finance or real‑estate management.
• Familiarity with data migration and ability to work with SQL for reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to work across multiple time zones, especially with APAC teams.
