Backend Developer (Golang) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Identity and Authorization platform team. You will help build the authentication and authorization infrastructure that powers all of 1Password’s products, working remotely from anywhere in the US or Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver secure, high‑performance identity solutions.
• Implement and enforce software development best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to improve code quality and accelerate development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang.
• Demonstrated commitment to best practices and clean code.
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems and propose effective solutions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
