AV Support Analyst

About the role

The AV Support Analyst provides Tier 2 technical support for escalated audio‑visual and AV‑network issues across the UBC Vancouver campus. This role involves in‑depth troubleshooting, diagnostics, and configuration of complex AV systems to ensure reliable, high‑quality teaching, learning, and event experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 support for AV and AV‑network systems, handling escalated incidents.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and configuration of AV equipment.
• Install, mount, and cable complex AV systems, including structural support and legacy decommissioning.
• Conduct technical analysis, research, and development to recommend system upgrades and enhancements.
• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of UBC technical guidelines and standards.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence and satisfactory driving‑record check.
• Demonstrated experience with AV system support and network‑related troubleshooting.
• Strong technical knowledge of AV infrastructure, installation practices, and standards.
