Autonomous Vehicle Operation Supervisor

About the role

The Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Supervisor will oversee daily operational activities for the AV Drive Operations Program across designated city sites. The role ensures smooth field operations, compliance with safety standards, high‑quality service delivery and strong team performance while working closely with local and regional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and supervise AV driver/operator teams across assigned locations.
• Plan daily shifts, schedule tasks, delegate responsibilities and track attendance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, security and operational protocols.
• Train, coach and mentor AV operators on procedures and program standards.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions when required.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fleet, Safety and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor productivity metrics and implement efficiency improvements.
• Respond promptly to on‑ground escalations and emergencies.
• Prepare weekly operational reports and summaries.
• Coordinate with Fleet and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal vehicle uptime.
• Travel extensively (approximately 90% of the time) between assigned cities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Operations, Transportation, Logistics, Automotive or a related field.
• Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and people‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a capability for process improvement.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel frequently between locations.
