Automotive Technician

About the role

Acura Pickering, a member of the Drive Autogroup, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join its service team. You will work in a fast‑paced shop environment, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Test‑drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to verify repairs.
• Communicate findings and additional service recommendations to Service Advisors and customers.
• Maintain shop equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report equipment issues.
• Stay current on automotive product updates, bulletins, recalls, and warranty procedures.
• Perform other duties as required to support the service department.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a licensed automotive technician.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Physically able to lift 50 lb and perform typical shop movements.

Required skills

• 310S certification.
• Class A Automotive Mechanic’s licence.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, and machine tools.
• Knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air‑conditioning systems.
