Accountant – General Ledger & AP Specialist

About the role

This fully on‑site position is with a reputable consumer goods and distribution organization. Reporting to a senior accounting leader, you will support day‑to‑day accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core accounting activities within the general ledger, focusing on accounts payable.
• Prepare and review bank, balance‑sheet, and income‑statement reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory‑related accounting, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
• Partner with operations and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in a hands‑on accounting role.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations and routine accounting functions.
• Experience with an ERP or mid‑market accounting system is an asset.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Preference for a structured, on‑site office environment.
