Warehouse Assistant – Shipping, Receiving & Inventory

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant works closely with the Warehouse Manager to handle shipping, receiving, and inventory maintenance for all goods and materials at our Toronto office and warehouse. The role supports project installations, customer deliveries, and technician pick‑ups while ensuring accurate documentation and stock control.

Key responsibilities

• Receive shipments, verify goods, complete paperwork and enter items into inventory software.
• Notify appropriate personnel of received stock and liaise with Accounting for packing slips, invoices and RMAs.
• Ship stock to branch offices and customer sites; stage materials for technician pick‑up and project installations.
• Deliver materials directly to customer sites and assist with vehicle maintenance, including GPS installation.
• Support facility upkeep, coordinate with WHS for building issues, and perform inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Assist with setup and repacking of project materials on test benches and maintain trackable items such as ladders and tools.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management or logistics, preferably in security or technology.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education is an asset.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting and knowledge of safe lifting methods.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
