Financial Controller

About the role

Precision Castparts Corporation is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to join its Cambridge manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management, from reporting and audits to budgeting and strategic planning, while supporting the plant’s operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee all financial statements, internal and external audits, budgets, forecasts, and strategic business plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including asset control, inventory, and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Develop and recommend major economic strategies, objectives, and policies.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports and business reviews.
• Direct budget preparation, review proposals, and provide supporting documentation.
• Assist sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams in financial analysis, margin improvement, and resource allocation.
• Lead financial and SOX audits, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Act as the Business Unit Ethics Officer and oversee internal controls.
• Partner with the Plant Manager on forecasts, hiring, new initiatives, and operational policies.
• Establish departmental goals, policies, and staffing structures; manage performance and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional designation such as CMA, CGA, or CA.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
