Construction Procurement Manager

About the role

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Procurement Manager to join a large retail enterprise’s real estate and construction team. The role will be based onsite in Mississauga and will focus on procuring materials and services for greenfield projects across Canada and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction buyouts for refrigeration, roofing, sliding doors, steel, cladding and other equipment.
• Benchmark pricing, negotiate contracts valued $10‑15M and manage vendor KPIs.
• Review and update existing vendor contracts and assess performance quarterly and annually.
• Collaborate with US counterparts and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
• Develop forecasts, onboarding processes and standardized vendor‑selection procedures.
• Maintain vendor governance, price negotiations and inventory management.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of procurement experience within construction.
• Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle, including permitting, design and scheduling.
• Proven experience managing complex vendor contracts and establishing KPI systems.
• People‑leadership experience managing 2‑3 team members and mentoring procurement specialists.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight across Canada and the US.
• Willingness to travel 10‑15% across North America and be onsite five days a week.
