Bilingual HR Generalist

About the role

The Bilingual HR Generalist will support the day‑to‑day operations of the HR department for a specific construction/renovation project. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role ensures smooth HR processes, maintains employee records, and provides guidance to NGE employees assigned to the project.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment activities and candidate selection.
• Facilitate onboarding and integration of new hires.
• Maintain and monitor employee files and records.
• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and help implement HR policies.
• Manage payroll processing and time‑tracking activities.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and follow internal instructions.

Required profile

• Higher education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• CHRP designation or working towards it.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Experience in construction, rail, or joint‑venture environments is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Reliability, discretion, adaptability, and strong organizational skills.
