IT Technician – Client Support & Projects

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Technician to join the Innovation Networks team. You will provide high‑level client service, support both local and remote users, maintain system documentation, and contribute to IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and resolve trouble tickets, recommending infrastructure improvements.
• Communicate ticket status and updates directly to clients.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking equipment.
• Support backup technologies and security tools.
• Visit client sites as needed to diagnose and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all management levels.
• Professional demeanor, polished interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, self‑motivation and time‑management.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of IT service and support experience.
• Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for site visits.
• At least two recognized certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office and Office 365 deployment and support.
• Microsoft cloud (Azure, Entra ID) and on‑premise environments.
• Active Directory, Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Networking fundamentals – routing, switching, firewalls.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Backup technologies and security tools.
• Remote support via email and phone.
• Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco.
