Intramural Sports General Official

About the role

The Intramural Sports General Official supports McGill University’s Athletics & Recreation department by ensuring smooth operation of a variety of intramural games. Working primarily at the Currie Gymnasium, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for student athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Officiate intramural matches across sports such as basketball, dodgeball, flag football, indoor cricket, and more.
• Coordinate game logistics, enforce sport‑specific rules, and manage player check‑in and scorekeeping.
• Assist with equipment setup before games and takedown afterward.
• Maintain a safe playing area and promote inclusive participation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a related sports or recreation role.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and stay well‑organized.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of at least one of the offered sports (asset).

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $16.85 (AMUSE B) for a part‑time schedule (approximately 6 hours per week).
• Fixed‑term contract from May 29 2026 to August 31 2026.
