Emergency Medicine Physician – Kamloops

About the role

The Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops is seeking qualified Emergency Medicine physicians to join a dynamic, collegial team. The position offers both full‑time and part‑time options within a tertiary care centre serving a regional catchment of approximately 250,000 people.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to an average of 75,000 annual visits.
• Participate in the High Acuity Response Team (HART) and Trauma Team Leader (TTL) program.
• Work 14 shifts per month across the emergency and trauma programs.
• Engage in monthly journal clubs, quality rounds and trauma rounds.
• Teach and supervise 3rd‑year medical students, 4th‑year electives and family practice residents.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified Emergency Medicine physician.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule of 14 shifts per month.
• Interest in teaching and collaborative practice.
• Ability to contribute to a collegial, lifestyle‑oriented team of 32 physicians.
