Vice President / Director of Strategic Communication

About the role

The Vice President / Director of Strategic Communication will lead Loyalist Public Affairs’ communication practice, supporting clients across multiple sectors on complex public policy and communication challenges. The role offers the opportunity to design and execute external and internal communication strategies, manage brand announcements, crisis communication and issues management in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans and initiatives for diverse clients.
• Write and edit a wide range of materials including news releases, social media content, web and intranet copy, reports, Q&As, scripts, presentations, advertising copy, marketing materials and speeches.
• Provide media and presentation training sessions to client teams.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to shape strategic approaches for external and internal communication challenges.
• Support client leads across several sectors and mandates, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality work.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in public relations, communication or related consulting.
• Strong writing ability and proven experience developing strategic communication plans.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and judgement skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork orientation.
• Exceptional organization, prioritization and attention to detail.
