Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team on an initial three‑month contract with the possibility of extension. The role focuses on preparing accurate financial reports, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting cyclical audits while ensuring compliance with SOX frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Execute bank reconciliations and support periodic audits.
• Document accounting workflows using Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or specialized GRC platforms.
• Interview process owners to capture step‑by‑step procedures and identify control gaps.
• Deliver standardized documentation that aligns with SOX compliance and departmental guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5‑10 years of accounting experience in a public company environment.
• Preference for CPA certification and familiarity with SOX controls.
• Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
• Experience using Lucidchart.
• Knowledge of specialized GRC software platforms.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of SOX compliance frameworks.
