Production Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Production Team Leader to drive shift and line performance at our Toronto facility. The role focuses on achieving production plans while upholding safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and enforce hygiene and safety procedures (PPE, LOTO, etc.).
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards and manufacturing instructions using digital platforms.
• Maintain clean and compliant work areas in line with Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Manage production through operational reviews (SHO, SOR, DOR) and standard routines (SDCA) to deliver sustainable results.
• Apply basic problem‑solving tools and share knowledge (OPLs) to support continuous improvement.
• Develop team competencies according to the agreed development plan, including training, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production manager, maintenance, unions and functional representatives to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience in a functional role within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Strong analytical, judgment and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication and ability to address non‑compliance.
• Capability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
