About the role

Mercur is seeking an experienced Mathematics education professional to help improve the quality of AI‑generated mathematical content. This contract position works remotely and focuses on evaluating, refining, and benchmarking AI outputs to ensure rigorous reasoning and alignment with domain standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy and depth of AI‑generated mathematics content and provide detailed feedback.
• Review complex mathematical tasks for consistency with established principles and methodologies.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and benchmarks for measuring AI performance on mathematical problems.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to maintain dataset relevance and coverage.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mathematics education or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and improve AI model outputs.
• Strong grasp of mathematical principles, theories, and problem‑solving techniques.
