Senior Project Manager

About the role

Brainhunter is seeking a Senior Project Manager on a two‑year contract to lead large, high‑risk technology projects for a client in Toronto. The role sits within the Individual Wealth Technology team and focuses on delivering complex initiatives while ensuring customer‑centric outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale, high‑risk projects, partnering with business and technology leaders, cross‑functional teams, and external stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project charters, including scope, objectives, success measures, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans.
• Create integrated project plans with cost estimates, budgets, resource requirements, and schedules using advanced estimation models.
• Manage project budgets, provide accurate forecasts, and analyze capitalization, amortization, and expense management.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers, promoting best practices.
• Perform advanced risk planning and analysis, including identification, mitigation, and response planning.
• Monitor progress, manage variances, and communicate updates transparently to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with governance processes, corporate risk standards, and organizational policies.
• Drive organizational change initiatives and implement process improvements.
• Transition projects to production and conduct post‑implementation reviews.

Required profile

• 7+ years of project management experience in a technology delivery environment.
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of Individual Wealth policy administration systems, illustration tools, and new‑business onboarding processes.
• Experience delivering technology projects and strategy/governance initiatives.
