Senior Mechanical Project Manager – High‑Rise Construction

About the role

Tap Roots Plumbing and Heating is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead high‑rise residential and commercial mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout. The role demands a detail‑oriented leader who can coordinate site staff, trades, vendors, and stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction projects from startup to closeout, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Manage RFIs, site instructions, change orders, and drawing updates with clear communication.
• Support foremen and field staff through regular site visits and proactive problem‑solving.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation.
• Track job costs, allocate to cost codes, and provide accurate billing and closeout reporting.
• Deliver concise monthly project updates to executive leadership.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and prefab deliveries to align with construction schedules.
• Lead QA/QC, commissioning, and produce O&M manuals and LEED documentation when required.
• Champion safety compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior project manager role within mechanical or plumbing construction.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Commitment to teamwork, integrity, and high‑quality results.
