Probationary Part-Time Family School Liaison Worker (0.5 FTE)

About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a probationary, part‑time Family School Liaison Worker to join Holy Trinity Academy. The role begins on August 25, 2026 and offers flexible hours to support students, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultation and collaboration as a member of the school intervention team.
• Address issues such as attendance, confidentiality, mental health, behavior management, and crisis intervention.
• Support staff knowledge on topics including mental health, trauma, grief, loss, and self‑regulation.
• Assist with program planning and implementation of various school‑based initiatives.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the Catholic faith or demonstrate openness to a Catholic environment.

Required profile

• Degree in social work or relevant education experience.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
• Commitment to safeguarding, including a recent vulnerable‑sector criminal record check and Alberta Children’s Intervention Record Check.
