About the role

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools is seeking a probationary full‑time Grade 6 teacher for St. Benedict School in Leduc, Alberta. The successful candidate will join a faith‑permeated, inclusive community from August 26 2026 to June 25 2027, delivering high‑quality instruction with a focus on mathematics and STEAM.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Grade 6 curriculum, emphasizing Math and STEAM concepts.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Support co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programs, including clubs, athletics, music, and social‑justice projects.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Collaborative mindset with a strong interest in Math and STEAM.
• Certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph’s College is an asset.
• Pastoral reference preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to provide a current criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check.
