Mechanical Specialist – Tramway Design

About the role

Scalian is seeking a Mechanical Specialist to lead the design, planning and manufacturing of a new tramway model. The role combines technical engineering work with project coordination to ensure the solution meets client requirements, standards and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all activities related to the design, planning and manufacturing of a tramway model, ensuring technical compliance, deadline adherence and budget control.
• Create detailed mechanical plans and technical drawings, guarantee consistency of proposed solutions and integrate client requirements during design reviews.
• Plan design and manufacturing activities, define milestones, monitor deadlines and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise manufacturing, provide technical support to suppliers and workshops, and validate conformity of produced parts.
• Develop user manuals and technical documentation, keep design records up‑to‑date and produce progress reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical design, project planning and manufacturing supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Strong attention to technical standards and client specifications.
