About the role

Hospitalist position at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. • Manage 12‑16 in‑patients per shift in the acute medicine unit.
• Serve as the most responsible physician for complex medical admissions.
• Co‑manage surgical patients and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Provide palliative care services as needed.
• Collaborate with specialists and family physicians throughout the hospital.

Required profile

• Medical degree and eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
• Ability to work 8‑hour shifts in an inpatient setting.
• Interest in working in a rural community with a strong teamwork culture.
• Willingness to participate in quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in acute inpatient medicine.
• Experience with co‑management of surgical patients.
• Knowledge of palliative care principles.

What we offer

• Clinical Service Contract with an annual base salary of $336,168 CAD (approximately $200.10/hour).
