Adjunct Faculty – Financial Reporting & Statement Analysis

About the role

The university is seeking an experienced academic to teach a cross‑listed MBA/ADM course focused on financial reporting, operating, financing and investing decisions. The role involves delivering lectures, guiding students through financial statement analysis, and reviewing GAAP standards in Canada and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course material for the Financial Reporting and Statement Analysis class.
• Guide students in applying generally accepted accounting principles to real‑world case studies.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Stay current with Canadian and international accounting standards and incorporate updates into the curriculum.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the program.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level or equivalent professional experience.
• Recent involvement with boards of directors, professional associations, or standard‑setting bodies (within the last five years).
• Strong academic record and ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in Canada and abroad.
